Hannah Lee Baker (Abigail Breslin) lives with her older sister Amber (Alexa Vega) and his uncle Donny (Lew Temple), an addict. They have trapped in the dark Southern underworld of violence and guns, meth labs and vicious biker gangs and under the iron fist of Uncle Frank Stinson (Sean Bean) who runs the illegal family business. Chess is the refuge of Hannah in the dark world. Things mess up when Amber fall in love with Wild Bill Owens (James Purefoy), a meth trafficker who confronts with Frank. That makes Hannah realize the only way to save her family is by cleverly scheming to pit one pawn against another in a cunning chess game.
